Prompt: 'O the sumer-time is coming, and the trees are sweetly blooming...'
Summary/Info: grabbed from the summer prompt list - there was both sadness and joy. Klan-centric, all-cast.

"Hang on just a moment," Klan had said when she and Ranka had been out shopping and the first few flakes of snow began to fall for the year, marking a beautiful change of seasons. Ranka had only noticed Klan buying a notebook, plain, and at the time thought nothing of it.

When the old year became the new, it was Ozma who saw her writing page after page in it.

On Valentine's-- and White Day, it was Nene. But she did not ask and instead gave Klan a small box of friendly chocolates each time, along with a sad and understanding smile.

As trees began to sprout new leaves, Brera had found her, writing and drawing. He had asked an unrelated question, and afterward, Klan had just been happy for the company.

Luca was next, when the weather turned warm enough to cast off jackets and long pants. He was growing quickly, Klan realized, and made note of that, just like she'd written down so many other things -- everything.

And when the first summer festival was about to begin, when the trees were heavy in bloom, Alto and Sheryl each found her, separately, surprised to see each other. Klan did not ask - instead she simply added a quick line while they bickered.

In the end, it was Cathy who sat with her, late in the summer when the nights were hot yet people lit fires anyway. The notebook was full, though Klan had yet to buy another one. Without speaking, and only vaguely aware that she had tears running down her face, she tore out each page and let it burn, ash and smoke rising high into the night sky.

To Michel - to tell him what he'd missed. And that ultimately, everything was okay...
